It's really annoying when folks create container images that run as root and then drop permissions. It requires that I audit your silly overly complicated s6-overlay based container image to make sure it isn't broken and makes it impossible to use good security contexts in Kubernetes.

The benefits of Nix are basically complete confidence in your system working at all times. It's great. The downsides of Nix are you have to read and write Nix. It's not great.

In the device-driver lsp, when you hover over a register you'll get to see everything you need to know. Names, properties and descriptions. But also a rendered table that contains all the fields and what their reset values are!
