    That area is normally super dark, so the bright areas stand out even more. Even the closest little towns are not as massive and bright. When I could see the clouds glowing on the horizon, I was thinking "What city is that? I'm not close to a big city. "

    I got that feeling. It was just concrete pillars, construction lights, and cranes. I didn't see any walls. Finishing them to operational will be a lot of work. Years ago, the Superconducting Super Collider in Texas became a ghost structure when funding failed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superco...

    They go way beyond the scale of something like an Amazon warehouse that you might see in an industrial park. I can't think of any other building, of any kind, that are that size. If their money gamble fails, there's not much that could use those buildings out in the middle of nowhere.

    Yesterday I drove by some of the massive A.I. datacenters under construction in west Texas. At first I wasn't sure what I was seeing by the highway. It was cranes and concrete skeletons lit brightly at night that took significant time to drive by. They were illuminating the clouds above.
