    I feel you re: his speaking style. He has an odd cadence, and not enough variation in the tones of his speech. I do think he has the strategic smarts that will be necessary to message through legislative initiatives. Pelosi wasn't a great orator, but she was an effective Speaker.

    It seems to me that Chuck Schumer risks a Joe Biden moment after these midterms: In 2022, Democrats didn't face a drubbing, and Joe Biden figured he could run again despite being in his 80s. It was a misread of the environment. Schumer will be majority leader. But does he risk running in 2028?

    They are also one of the major faces of the party, control a lot of PR, get all the media/press. Schumer is not a communicator that connects with the America we live in now. This job is as much PR/messaging as it is governing. He's too desperate to have the job. He should be more like Spkr. Pelosi.
