As I said in my review, there's a good bit of Metroid in Queen's Domain's DNA. But it has a very different flow to it. There's no map and little signposting, and few color-coded doors. You gotta intuit new routes. There's also a bit of Shadow Tower Abyss as well. Although that isn't until later.

Postu göster4 hours in, Queen's Domain is indeed a true successor to King's Field. Very polished, and the level design is brilliant. I only have two complaints: I'm not sold on the throwing weapon being so important, and the locations seem a bit too generic so far... but it's early, there's time for surprises.
Postu gösterIt starts rough, but once you leave the "tutorial area" you slowly start racking up power ups (the game is not only KF but also about Metroid, I'd say keep your eyes open and your interact button ready) . It still has no auto save so always save when an occasion comes up,
Postu gösterIndividual combat is actually quite simple, far easier than anything in Elden Ring. But it's a challenging game because of how you can only save & rest at certain points and the game will use status effects, ambushes and tricky enemies to wear you down. It's an attrition challenge.
