  Finding this blog really interesting, if often dispiriting on current policies. Loved this bit though - education as a means of enabling children to take custody of, and in time contribute to, the record of humanity's achievements:

  BUT and it's a big but, we're yet to see policy details from govt yet and they might end up being quite good, even if many of us are wary of the mood music. We need to wait and see. (@daisychristo.bsky.social is right though that the transferable skills agenda is likely to be a total disaster)

  A decade after it was published, I finally got around to reading Making Good Progress by @daisychristo.bsky.social and its really fantastically useful and clear in explaining assessment issues. Rather worryingly, it isn’t dated at all. Schools are still overdoing summative assessment.
