    my new place has several kind-of-insane features (which I love) but by far the wildest is the Catacombathroom. So today at 0800 I had an hour-long bath with a book and a bottle of Trappist beer, breakfast of champions. I would say "don't judge me" but honestly I regret nothing it was glorious.

    in some languages, the "vote" word is actually derived from the word for "voice". Arabic صوّت ṣawwat is a causative verb built off the noun صوت ṣawt "voice". German stimmen comes from Stimme "voice" (also means "ballot" in the right contexts)

    french also kinda does this with 'voix', although i've seen it mostly in the plural referring not to someone's individual vote but the collective vote or a number of votes i'm tempted to say it almost feels like a suppletive plural in my usage but i think that's not quite true
