Postu gösterTusk might win this round and "liberate" the Tribunal, but restoring the court to its integrity and respect in society (currently at 21%) will require decades of work and a broader political consensus going beyond "good guys" in order to make sure that most of Polish society trusts the court again.
Postu gösterToday, I can't say I agree fully with Laurent, Kim and Maciej writing for @verfassungsblog.de about the recent crisis at the Tribunal and how the suspension of the Tribunal's leadership is a lawful, if poorly communicated, step leading us towards the final goal of restoring the rule of law.

I count @profpech.bsky.social as my friend, and we co-authored papers where we took savage swipes at the perpetrators of the rule of law crisis in Poland and Hungary. But we also spent a lot of time arguing about the particulars.
