    This week's #ThirtiesThursday garment is this c. 1935 Elizabeth Hawes belted evening dress. It is made from a loose wool gauze weave (typical of Hawes' use of unusual materials), and features an asymmetrical scarf-like cowl neckline. Met Museum collection. #fashionhistory
