    I am actually far from an expert in traditional ACID databases and wouldn't dream of writing one without a serious amount of further study

    with one (embarrassing) exception I can think of, the nontrivial bugs in polytoken over the last while has been in something I 1) don’t use, and 2) ties to something I would have to pay money on other people’s behalf to integration test also polytoken is free and refunds are at the kiosk

    i am 100% sure that this project came from "we need x but for agents" rather than "we encountered a real problem we couldn't solve with extant datastores" and the first thing is a very hard problem to model because it is not a problem

    seconded; @unormal.bsky.social noted that one of the big things with extrusion is that the hard problems come at you faster and one of the hard problems is "did we correctly model the problem?"
