    Um, I think you'll find that roads were designed for people on foot and horseback first, then improved for bikes, and cars came last. I require my bike to make a living: it's my transport.

    How about, "if a road is not designed with a motorised vehicle lane that is physically separated from the lanes used by all other users, motorised vehicles should not be allowed on that road". Keeps the killers away from everyone else, which seems fair.

    Cycling to work this morning. A driver coming the other way shouts out of his car window: "[something something] recording people you weirdo!" Checked the registration. It's someone I reported for using their phone just over a month ago. Of course.

    Lovely. Can you now please work with them to improve the rest of the same high street. Massive pedestrian traffic relegated to the narrow footways, four lanes of road given over to a handful of motors. A racetrack to cross. No cycling facility. This is midday Saturday (1st Oct).
