Everyone hates Arsenal because they're a bunch of pricks.
Postu gösterNot like that
Postu gösterJosh Kushner, who negotiated with Infantino to buy the World Cup, has just completed a deal to buy the LA Lakers for $12bn. Insane number. How do you exit these investments when you might be the top of the market? Whose money is this? Do they care about returns? Vanity purchase?
Postu gösterThe bloke they bought it off paid $6bn for majority stake at $10bn last year. The seller, Mark Walter, friend of Todd Boehly, the chelsea co-owner, is a currently facing a federal investigation into his business empire.
Postu gösterThis also a function of growing wealth concentration surely. The sort of people that can buy sports teams are getting richer faster. Billionaire wealth grew 25% in a year while household wealth has been at best flat. Sports again a great way of highlighting what’s happening in society.
