    i want to live in a world in which this kind of behaviour is seen as more destructive and violent than smashing up shops and looted goods. we need to rethink and relearn what's violence and what's how violent. we have to ffs.

    it's whack to hear "healthy" people talk about being ill/sick. "you should go to work if you only have very mild cold symptoms" "she's been having a mild cold for weeks, she's still kept working with toddlers, no masking" "i don't mask while shopping with a slight cold" no.

    The reason we are seeing some Hollywood stars get terrifyingly skinny right now is because there is no off switch on this kind of skinny culture. There is no thin enough. There is only one sign you went too far, and it’s death. Anything else is considered a success.

    I’ve been told my entire life exactly what weight is “fat” for me. I know exactly the scale number, to the ounce, where I become socially unacceptable for my height. There is no set number on the other end. The goal isn’t even a size or weight. It’s as low as possible.

    That should tell you everything you need to know about a thinness obsession. It is an obsession, not a goal. It isn’t about logic, health, or even aesthetics. It is, by nature, disordered.
