    Unsolicited art advice / tip / observation. I noticed my colors and shading got a whole lot better when I stopped using multiply, overlay, effect layers etc for shading and just picked/adjusted the colors manually on their own.

    I guess it's sort of a color theory thing? Though I never studied it. The effect layers just don't balance every hue properly and make everything muddy or flat to my eye.
