I have a new paper out today that I've been working on for the past ~year, which I'm really proud of! We place limits on the small-scale electron power spectrum at early times using the CMB, including effects related to photon transport in a clumpy medium. arxiv.org/abs/2610.05147

Thrilled to share my freshly "baked" Baker lab paper. We took a bottom-up approach to designing transcriptional regulators. Instead of relying on natural activation domains, we designed compact proteins that recruit specific cofactors. Activators for now, repressors to come!

Fish do not overcome environmental forces—they exploit them! In our new PNAS paper, we show that fish escape energetically demanding flows, by yawing their bodies to exploit the resulting lift force and initiate lateral motion toward more favorable flow conditions. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
