Have you met Mwezi? This wobbly-footed baby is the 97th known calf born to orphans we have rescued & raised. Her mum Murera’s story began when rangers found her unable to walk. Now she’s a matriarch and a mum of two. Miracles do happen! Murera's story: www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/murera
Postu gösterWonderful news: Murera's given birth to a baby girl! Her daughter entered the world this morning and we’ve named her Mwezi, which means moon in Swahili. We're filled with joy and delighted to share Mwezi’s first moments with you. Congratulations Murera: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/murera
Postu gösterI love that you can show a dangly toy to a kitten for the first time and they instantly understand What Must Happen
Postu gösterA sight we’ll never tire of. Our ex-orphans came to visit on Sunday, and Nesheshi had the honour of leading the herd. After her mother was shot and killed, reaching her meant airlifting her in a customised sling beneath our helicopter from a remote corner of Laikipia.
Postu gösterRegular herring-do!
