    People who voted strategic federally gave us Carney, who is just a little more polished, but has the same policies as Poilievre. Eby has only himself to blame. His policies, on drug poisoning, the environment and many other issues are regressive. He could also have had proportional representation.

    Standard polling methodology shows that a polls of 1000 people or more are legit. Less than that, and they get flakier. But 1000 is the minimum standard for legit polls.

    The total population size barely matters: Once a population passes a certain size (typically over 10,000 to 20,000 people), Sampling 1,000 people from a city of 100,000 yields virtually the same margin of error as sampling 1,000 people from a country of 320 million

    What were you expecting, the entire country to participate in the poll? Statisticians consider a sample size of around 1,000 people the "sweet spot" for national or large-scale surveys. It provides a strong balance between high statistical accuracy and practical costs.
