Mississippi was ground zero for the big fight this year over grace periods for late-arriving mail ballots. In a rare pro-voter ruling, SCOTUS allowed Mississippi to continue counting ballots postmarked by Election Day but that arrive after the election. Might really matter in the Senate race!
Postu gösterPoliticians on both sides often treat voting rights for people with felony convictions as a third-rail idea, not to be supported in public if at all. In my reporting I’ve found that regular people don’t find it nearly so touchy. Amendment 3 won by 14—same margin as the marriage equality amendment.
