Postu gösterShrish is building a big tower of tools for calibrating his upcoming JWST program (www.stsci.edu/jwst/science...) in the months before he moves to start a postdoc at Marseille - I'm very excited about all the cool work he's doing and sad to see him leave just as it's coming to fruition!

Postu gösterShrish has released an open source package rayshrish.github.io/camino/ to do wavefront sensing from JWST defocused images, the main sensing mode on NIRCam, and it closely matches (but improves upon) the MAST-available retrievals.
Postu gösterIn Milo's work, we show that a diffraction-limited image encodes a spectrum that can be parametrized with the eigenbasis of the Fisher information, and this can be efficiently retrieved. In upcoming work by Hayden Greer we'll show you some cool results on-sky!
