    Right! Both of these reviewers missed the point of the books. Maybe they really liked the cat and that's how they got the stars? I'd be more forgiving of someone dismissing Frankenstein for having too much philosophy since we mostly get the Hollywood movie monster version that story.

    This is what's so interesting about this Master & Margarita review! I would think, like the P&P review, it would be 1 or 2 stars. Philosophical convos are as integral to M&M as "people going to each other's houses" is to P&P! So how'd we get all the way to 4 stars while hating the philosophy here?

    Reminds me of the one-star review of Pride and Prejudice that panned the book as just a bunch of people going to each other's houses.
