Tbh I think the solution is just don't worry about it - the Imperium as it exists in that series is a slightly different place from the one that can be seen in other places, at least in terms of vibe, and that's ok because it's a fairly loose setting that adapts to fit present storytelling needs.
Postu gösterYes I enjoy the Ghost's series but I do think that it basically requires Gaunt to be an on the whole heroic chap you are routing for, and for Tanith to have been a basically alright place whose loss one mourns, and that can cut against the more grimddark worldbuilding elsewhere sometimes.
