    I'm still thinking about this because EVC is a genuinely fascinating story in broadcasting. The stations are the dog being wagged by the adtech tail. No other company in the industry has a) that dynamic or b) any truly comparable high-growth line of business.

    Entravision does own a handful of English-language network affiliates. It broadcasts Fox in RGV and Laredo and NBC in Palm Springs, California. It also, through various bizarre historical accidents, is responsible for broadcasting the PBS national feed in RGV.

    In a 100% cap world, Univision doesn't need Entravision. It can exit the longstanding agreements it has where EVC operates Univision-owned stations in Denver, Boston, Albuquerque, and DC. If it were to buy the television stations, it would own outright those outlets plus Rio Grande Valley & Laredo.

    Why? Because the glue might be coming off their longtime relationship with Univision. They got a 3-month extension of their key affiliation, operations, and sales agreements to March 31. After that, if they're toast, everything about their TV division changes. Or might be sold!
