As a side note, this may be what Wired means; "after the introduction of bodycams, the percentage of use-of-force complaints that were upheld actually *increased*" (and they're conveniently forgetting to mention the reduction in overall occurrences.)

One of the core claims in left-wing body camera criticism is just "sometimes footage shows that police officers were not lying about the immediate facts and that's bad." Especially common in groups where the only accepted view is a belief in the end of law enforcement as-such.

I live in pretty red areas with high crime issues, and the shift in local news has been noticeable While theyre still pro-police in general, they frame any story where body cam footage is "missing" with the skepticism towards police they usually reserve for an oft-arrested accused criminal
