I’m not fundamentally anti-AI but I am increasingly depressed at how people I work with are using it. It turns writing into soulless uniform mush, and generates volume without quality. Why are people so willing to give up the critical thinking that is our core strength as academics?

Postu gösterOn the new #BluePlanetIII an older female dolphin collects sponges to block up holes in coral clusters. She can then startle fish into these traps. Some don’t see this as tool use, because there’s no mechanical force. But defined as ‘enabling objects’ I’d say they’re absolutely tools. 📷 BBC/OU 🐬🇦🇺
