    I don’t really think “not a politician” should be a selling point for a candidate. The job is politician. I want to elect someone who understands that job and is good at it and also is not a dirtbag. We have seen how catastrophic it is to make “not a politician” the priority over “not a dirtbag.”

    The second law of thermodynamics says things fall apart. It doesn't say they have to. It says they will unless someone does the work. Our democracy is the same, and this election requires that we do the work.

    I just waked my kid through CA/SF’s insanely complicated ballot for the first time. I told him why I voted for everything/one on 8 pages of a ballot, where he and I might disagree, what he might have heard and what consider, sources etc. That’s insane!

    How many people are in a position to weigh all this—including the 400+ pages of ballot guides we issue and all independent analysis. This why we supposedly have legislators.
