Did you protest the USA? Did you march in the streets screaming "genocide" and accusing the USA of atrocities? Did you shut down college campuses? Did you demand international condemnation and sanctions against the USA? Why not?

This is nauseating. A filmaker living in France whose films are highly critical of Netanyahu was boycotted because he is a Jewish Israeli. And the boycotters won, in a nation tainted by the Holocaust.

I lived in Spain for 10 years and spent a lot of time in left circles there and in France. The Jew hate is pervasive. I’m calling it that instead of antisemitism because it’s so ugly. I stopped many dinner parties calling it out. It was enraging and depressing. So no, this does not surprise me…

Platner’s insistence on saying “I used to be bad” combined with “that’s past, and anyone who says otherwise is unforgiving” resonates with many because it’s a very old narrative: “once I was lost, now I’m found.” He then shifts the moral wait of accepting his salvation onto the listener.
