A few more shots of the set. After filming there in 1998, they just left it there, and in 2001, returned to film an AOTC scene where Anakin and Padme encounter Watto.
Postu gösterIf you ever wanted to walk in a real Star Wars town, the Mos Espa set is as real as it gets. And it has a paved road from the highway directly to it through the dunes. And Bedouins offering camel rides, snacks, and souvenirs. And also a restroom.
Postu gösterYou can probably navigate pretty easily to get to the Mos Espa set from the city of Nefta on your own or GetYourGuide type excursions. It's also only a short way from the Lars Homestead site. But to get a great experience, including a guide to help line up all the shots, I'd go with Galaxy Tours.

Postu gösterAnother place I visited in Tunisia was the Mos Espa set built for The Phantom Menace. It still stands, has 25 buildings and is a big draw. For multi-story buildings, they only built the base and digitally added the rest. #starwars #tunisia
