    The "60% threat framing" seems to come mainly from the fact Wired does a lot of cybersecurity coverage (it's the top topic on their menu!) Scrolling through their site I don't see anything close to that number once you discount stories like these

    Yes although in the earlier case the actual people building the internet did not say, every five minutes, what a terrible danger it was and how it was going to kill everyone.

    We’re trying, but the state of things is pretty dire, the barrier to basic disruptive attacks is lowering rapidly, and we can’t find enough people who understand the industrial environments and cybersecurity on thirty year old computers fast enough to hire close to enough people.
