It's making me feel bonkers to see years and years and years of "respect the artist, don't repost somewhere else unless they say it's ok!" only to see people turn around and say if you don't let them share fanfic on their ai-scrapping gdrives then you're anti-readers

i think fanfic writers gotta stop begging on their knees for crumbs of respect and start yelling at people cause what the fuck

LRP: I’m tired of being nice about this and people arent being nice when they disrespect fic authors so go block @/wwxwashere.bsky.social and any other fic thieves who are making/sharing fic repositories without author consent. It’s time we start calling them what they are.

I saw a fic in at least 2 of those repositories that blew up in that fandom but the author deleted it and explicitly asked people not to share it bc it caused them no amount of heartache with entitled readers once it got popular. The entitlement is sickening I’ve been seething for two days over it

Most of us who are huge fanfiction readers are ALSO huge novel/fiction readers. A reader is a reader: we read it all.
