    Not much pining, because Haurchefant offered himself so, so easily. It was up to her to open her heart and in her mind, it felt so unbelievably simple in a way which Layla won’t be experiencing romantic love again because everyone else has a profound element of conflict in their dynamics with her.

    #Laylafant was a very fast paced romance, Layla was basically swept away, so to speak. Everything went by so, so fast. The confession, traveling to Ishgard, being apart even if it’s a short distance or a little while, traveling to Dravania, the Vault. And Layla was very passive in all of this.

    But life keeps getting worse. Enter Haurchefant who was among the first who started the process of repairing Layla’s view on the world, whether he realized it or not. And while he wasn’t the only one to do so, he affected how Layla people, romantically or platonically.

    I always envisioned Layla who is very disconnected to the world around her and she acts in strange ways due to her sheltered upbringing. That’s why the post-Titan event and Bloody Banquet had such a profound impact on her. Little did she think bad things would happen to *her*
