    National media is an elite White space that misses a lot of major stories that pertain to minority politics. Two stories that are massively under reported at the moment 1.) ICE will be Texas' Prop 187. The sleeping Latino Giant electorate has awakened 2.) Gutting the VRA upended Southern politics.

    Absolutely. So much of GOP lawfare was built around control of Texas state government. Even the federal judge shopping part (TXND) assumed the TX Governor, AG, and Legislature would never ask questions about the shady plaintiffs using that path. Now they're all operating in a blue jurisdiction.

    Agree with all of this but I remain skeptical that the supermajority has the discipline to meaningfully moderate its behavior toward Trump. I also suspect the six are in denial about the likelihood of court reform under a Democratic trifecta. We’ll see how that goes for them!

    Just putting out here my pitch that it is actually worth investing in Alabama because no one was even paying attention to us and we came within a few points of making a democrat our governor.

    To avoid the appellate court in Austin, the GOP created a kangaroo court (Abbott appointed all 3 judges) to which they funneled all gov't & business appeals. A week ago it blocked release of the Abbott/Musk emails. Now, every judge on it is a Democrat. Next year, Hinojosa gets to appoint two more.😂
