    Shamari Figures winning in a gerrymandered district was impressive. A much improved state party organization made a huge impact. The big cities turned out for Jones. Alabama IS changing.

    Absolutely. We elected Tommy Tuberville as governor here in Alabama — not an enviable outcome — but it was a 52-48 split, not a 65-35, which is EXCEPTIONAL for an Alabama Democrat these days. I've been imagining what might be possible if the national party had ANY sort of organization here.
