#statistics If you gerrymander too aggressively, it can backfire spectacularly in a wave, because every seat you squeeze out is held by a thin margin, and a big enough swing knocks them all over at once. Fictional state, 50–50 vote: 8 of 10 seats. Swing 6 points: 2 of 10.

Swapping again restores the original deck. So we've constructed a bijection between shuffled decks in which the next card after stopping is, say, the ace of spades and shuffled decks in which the last card is the ace of spades. And we know how likely the latter is: 1/52 for 52 cards.

I think most of the cost comes from the difficulty of harvesting it (with forceps?). I was once going to make a saffron harvesting robot. Good contrast for a vision system...
