  and the fact that they're like Roleplay Machines. if you suggest that they might experience some kind of subjectivity or whatever how do you rule out that they could be roleplaying a machine that experiences subjectivity

  seems odd to me with all this talk about LLM consciousness that a crucial part of it is taking their word on the subject for granted when they're notoriously incapable of reporting on their own internals correctly
