Thank you for that clarification, I somehow had missed that while watching the actual movie, and the months of discourse afterwards. Any idea why old lady Bates keeps killing women that talk to her son Norman?
Postu gösterCamp Miasma like a couple of months ago was all about this tension as well. It's okay to enjoy depictions of horrible things! That's what play is for, that's what films are for. That's why we dress up as demons and devils in the first place
Postu gösterkrueger's a paedophile and child sexual abuser, no? like fuck fortnite but we really can't expect people to dress only as unproblematic horror icons for halloween because there aren't any, and having fun with the horrible is the whole thing with halloween
Postu gösterAre men making these women dress as Nikki? Or are they deciding to do so on their own? Do we need to discuss what Freddy Krueger did to kids before buying his mask at Spirit Halloween? Maybe the women dressing as Nikki are full aware, and choosing to dress as her for their own reasons?
