Postu gösterI don’t particularly feel guilt or culpability about this stuff myself: I wasn’t there and my ancestors then seem to have mostly been factory or agricultural menial workers. I guess it hits different, if your ancestor was the Grand Viceroy for executing uppity natives with cannon fire or similar.
Postu gösterAnyway, I personally would’ve said that the Tory leader’s stance on this is deranged, that an apology costs nothing and that if we wanted to show we had learned lessons from all that pretty evil shit, we could probably kick in a few quid for some schools in Antigua or whatever.

But the Tories, the Times and the Telegraph are not Britain, are they. There are 70 million of us.
