    it also might apply boringly tbf, there are many quantities that are just actually ergodic while still being economic/metabolic ones (the math in principle should apply to metabolisms too, but, probs less often bcz metabolisms have slightly different needs than economies in a relevant way)

    ya it makes sense there would be different parameters what would have their own limits and those would be scale dependent too i'm confident the EE math applies just as much there ofc as its just fundamental to random walks of certain sorts that should apply, but i'd need to think about where/how

    tl;dr how does ergodicity economics constrain the scaling laws of group survival like the common intervention for nonergodicity in economic situations is sharing so how big a group do we need wrt what other parameters for sustainability
