Re. a lot of replies to this: yes, there are workarounds, which individuals might deploy. But the schools are locked into multi-year contracts with Google Classroom—every element of which funnels students toward Google products. This is called “platform capture.” link.springer.com/chapter/10.1...

#MEpolitics: The media are out in force in Bangor today—crews from CNN, Reuters, and even CBC are outside interviewing voters. That makes sense given more money per capita was spent on Maine elections this cycle than in any state in the US and this is (hopefully soon former) Sen. Collins’ hometown.
