Postu gösterThis is the Clacton Spear. At 420,000 years old, it is the oldest known worked wooden weapon. It was found in 1911 in Clacton by amateur pre-historian Samuel Warren. It is approx 40cm long, 4cm wide & so is only the spear tip. Similar wooden spears (300,000 years old) have been found in Germany.
