Oxfordshire is to become part of a Thames Valley mayoralty, with an elected mayor. It will be joined by Berkshire and Swindon, but Buckinghamshire has chosen to stay out. The decision was announced in today’s Budget.

Train to Matlock from Oxford with our bikes and then headed around - 42 miles, almost all car-free, stayed in pub and yurt. Apparently it’s new. More of this please! (Anyone know similar routes in the UK?)
