pitting jpop and kpop against each other too is so passe... esp in this post-twice era as we've seen kpop rise as a popular, if not dominating and influential force in japanese pop music, in the idol scene more so
Postu gösterironically, too, since kpop is a genre so driven by this routine to change concept from concept with each release, but once a jpop group decides to get their commercial makeover, it somehow raises a flag
Postu gösteri considered this blindness of kpop as the popular sound and visual styling - globally! - from people who pay attention to, or in most cases solely consume, kpop a interesting development but now it's just getting annoying in its stubborn ignorance
Postu gösteri doubt i need clarifying, but the frustration isn't in the groups being called inauthentic, unoriginal or derivative, but this reach to refer to the exchange of ideas here as "copying" rather than taking influence, let alone from one of the most popular pop scene in the last 5 years
Postu gösterevery once in a while, some article or discourse pops up on twitter about a japanese idol group "copying" kpop and i'm starting to get fed up
