    Once you've decided on an aesthetic, identify clothiers who can guide you in developing this type of wardrobe. These should be companies that are driven principally by knowledge and passion, not just profit. Let their knowledge and vision inform your choices.

    I encourage you to start with aesthetics first, then move to questions about fit, silhouette, styling, quality, and such. Clothing is not like electronics — they are not standalone items you can compare across "objective" metrics. They are about aesthetics, so start there.

    Conversely, if you prefer a more clean cut look, then Drake's has taken that idea and dressed it up. Their chore coats are made from plush but heavy suedes (so they hang properly). Body is slimmed up a little — and look! Sleeves correctly angled for this aesthetic.

    Bryceland's has a wonderful chore coat inspired by vintage US styles. It has full paneled sleeves and unfinished brass buttons designed to patina. It's made from a salt-and-pepper fabric that will fade beautifully. This is the sort of thing you wear with Army chinos or fatigues for a workwear look.

    I encourage you to take a different approach. First, develop a sense of how you want to dress (IMO, this should be informed by cultural language). Next, find clothiers who can guide you in this aesthetic. For instance, if you like chore coats, decide on how you want to wear them.
