    Too many Democrats have implicitly endorsed the media’s view, that it’s only a scandal if it happens in secret. You don’t need months of hearings to discover that wrongdoing happening in plain view is bad. Skip the long, twisting investigation and go straight to the “he must leave office” stage.

    There's been some academic debate over it but I don't see a terribly serious case that White House chief of staff isn't an impeachable officer, and in any event it's solely up to the House and Senate to make that determination.
