I met with mayors and councilmembers from cities across West Contra Costa County visiting the Capitol as part of the @calcities.bsky.social City Leaders Summit. We discussed ways the state can support local cities address homelessness, public safety, and climate change.
Postu gösterRiding @capitolcorridor.bsky.social to Sacramento for the @calcities.bsky.social Summit. Absolute best way to travel. I don’t know why anyone would drive to Sacramento from the Bay Area. (And after 15 years riding, I finally got a selfie with both BART & Capitol Corridor trains in the background.)
Postu gösterCSDA’s Kyle Packham had the privilege of presenting to a packed ballroom of special district, city, and other municipal finance officers last week with Ben Triffo of @calcities.bsky.social and leading local government funding expert, Michael Coleman.
Postu gösterSo appreciate Senator @jessearreguin.bsky.social talking at scale about the ways we need to address California’s housing crisis, including reducing the costs of building housing, at @calcities.bsky.social panel. He even spent a couple minutes talking about the importance of single stair reform!
Postu gösterHad a productive day at today’s @calcities.bsky.social Environmental Quality Policy Committee meeting, and the views on the Amtrak Capitol Corridor are always an added bonus. The #eastbay Division (including its honorary members) was well-represented!
