Postu gösterShould note that I don't think this is the defining issue for most Americans; they are likely more motivated by cost of living issues. Only saying that I don't think Dems should abandon undocumented immigrants, as this is not a losing issue. Should call mass deportation for what it is: extremism.
Postu gösterTrump's current policy is not sustainable or realistic. You can't deport millions of people, even if you're willing to trample on the rights of citizens. I still believe white nationalism is an online echo chamber, even if they're very loud online. Immigration reform is the only realistic solution.
Postu gösterTalarico won Texas by more than 10 pts even while saying undocumented immigrants need a path to citizenship if they meet certain criteria (e.g., been here for a long time, passes criminal background check). I still believe most Americans are not racist or extremist; mass deportation is extremist.
