What I have read about how soldiers were treated by their superiors in WW2 is very very similarly brutal. Apparently then too, only very rarely did the soldiers kill their commanders. Not sure why.
Postu göster21/ However, they were reportedly stripped of their certificates on the grounds that because the fighting was in Russian territory, it was merely a 'counter-terrorist operation' and not part of the war in Ukraine – and therefore they were entitled to nothing.
Postu göster20/ The 1st Motorised Rifle Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) was involved in tough fighting in Tetkino earlier this year, and was awarded certificates after spending over a year in the town without a rotation.
Postu göster19/ Conditions in Tetkino are not helped by the reportedly brutal treatment of the troops by their own commanders. Soldiers who fight in the 'Special Military Operation' are awarded certificates for their participation which entitle them and their families to benefits back home.
