A lot of people act like environmental destruction is irreversible and inevitable, but in France for the first time in years, after many projects to clean up the water, the Seine is clean enough for swimming again. It's our choice. We can still save our beautiful planet.

Postu gösterA lot of people aren't fond of Paris's mayor because she has the audacity to "spend money" on "things that make the city nicer to live in" like bike lanes, regreening areas, SUV restrictions, pollution taxes, cleaning up the Seine, etc. But the transformation of the city since 2014 is stunning.
Postu gösterParis cleaned up the Seine by fixing sewers, building stormwater basins, and pulling out trash—enough that people can swim there for the first time in 100 years. Social media needs the same: infrastructure fixes, not cosmetic tweaks.
