About 10 years ago I was in an info session with DRHE about Homeless HAP, and I pointed out then how this was going to drive everyone's rents higher instead of addressing the core issue of lack of housing. The DRHE told me a decade ago that their hands were tied as this was government policy.

There are so many horrors in this book it’s hard to get past them but the overarching theme is of a State that refuses to govern in a particular area because of resistance from powerful interests it just doesn’t have the will to take on Feels like we’ve swapped the Church for landlords and Big Tech
