I've seen this scene from "Feat of Clay Pt. 2" shared multiple times on multiple social media sites in the last few days and I think it speaks to how rare it is to remember a piece of art from your childhood that you found powerful and discover it's just as potent when you're an adult.

Like honestly it feels insulting, especially seeing him claim in comments that "it took a long time to make this!" Or proclaiming the content took real effort when I KNOW what sacrificing real time and effort to make videos about this stuff actually feels like

On second though, I dunno why I was trying to be polite or defensive, I don't owe any goodwill to someone using AI and footage theft to content farm and I garuntee I'm far from the only person this person (or maybe group) has stolen from and their scripts are likely AI too.

"Growing Pains" is one of the most chilling, sad Batman stories ever told. Robin meets a young girl on the run from her terrifying father, a man whose secret will shake the Boy Wonder to his core. The kind of episode that you watch as a kid that haunts you for the rest of your life.

I think it's different if I'm playing a game as piece of art where I'm trying to interact with it on an emotionally enriching level, but that's not the way I was playing video games. I was playing them rotely and joylessly, attempting to jog out a sense of accomplishment by watching number go up.
