This is why authoritarianism is kind of a meaningless term because we simply do not register the tyranny of capital as authoritarian. I want anarchists to listen here.
Postu gösterI think insisting on decoupling authoritarianism from ideology is a dangerous mistake because it leaves us completely unprepared for dealing with moments like now. The Nazis were about as authoritarian as the US is, except we literally refuse to recognize that! We don't want to see it!
Postu gösterAt the time, I don't think most people would have considered the Nazis to be that authoritarian unless they were targeted by them, which, I don't know, feels a little fucking familiar.
