mainstream gamer culture is a deeply misogynistic space and the composition of the game industry reflects that. you don't need to lie and pretend like there are no notable women creative figures over the history of games to make that point.
Postu gösterthink of all the women doing a ton of meaningful work in the space only to get told you don't exist because gamers would make it not so is just like... disrespectful! gamers don't have that much power, don't give that to them. and plenty of games exist outside the bounds of mainstream gamer culture.

Postu gösternot trying to pile on this post but it's been bothering me. there are absolutely woman "auteurs" in games from every definition of that word you could come up with, from indie games going back to Roberta Williams. and saying there aren't just underlines the point that women are taken less seriously
